What's happenin' everyone? So my next book is almost done! Which is very exciting. Also, I hope everyone had a good thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to all as well! I also finished editing another story, this was just a self edit, but it was amazing how many mistakes I saw. I changed some things in the end fight scene and even changed the ending up a bit, I'm honestly not sure if I even like it yet, but things can change, it could be a bit more satisfying. What's happenin' everyone? I know its been a while since I wrote, I'm just very busy with publishing my next book. I'm really pushing myself to do better on content and good stories. I have a wonderful editor whos very helpful in that area. I've also created a map for this new book in which I actually practiced to make several more maps. Its the best map I've made and it'll be exciting to see it in this next book. I'm also in this competition called "writing battle" and that's been very fun as well. I pad for several different "duels" and then when they roll around I'm sent an email that tells me what next. They can range from 250 words to 2000 words and I get three cards, one of which is a genre, that is given to me. I have to write a story with that genre and then I get two other cards with subject and places that I need to do as well. It's judged and if I win, I can win money :) Its been fun and challenging. I haven't won, but I have placed top 6 which is actually incredible because its all over the world. Anyway, be on the next look for my newest book. Origins: The Beginning. What's happenin' everyone?! It's another week and I thought I'd post another blog. Editing this next book has been INSANE! But as always, a lot of fun. I've had to add so much as well. But I do like seeing the outside perspective of someone else who knows how to make a great final book! Also, I really suck at map making, despite how fun it is! I'm having to really think about how this world is supposed to work and.... it's difficult to actually map it out. I'm still learning about terrain, how to properly size items, and especially make correct distances that are congruent with the book. It's a challenge to say the least, but it's also fun to see how many I can see when I'm done. Plus, fantasy readers love maps! So, it's a huge must. We are halfway through the formal first round of edits for my next book! So that's exciting. It's already like a thousand times better! Thanks for reading! Forrest Jones

Hey everyone, what's happenin'? So, I've been very busy with my next book to publish. It's always so crazy, yet fun because there's always more content, words and sometimes even chapters than you originally started out with. But it's also sooooo much better reading. Also, I've just been busy being a family man. However, my wife has a youtube channel now! So, check it out. It's small, with only a few videos on there. What's happenin' everyone?! Sorry I missed last week's blog. I've good news! I'm getting another book ready to be published! I'm excited for it, it's one of my favorites in every way. Also, I've been reading the Silmarillion and finding that not only can I understand it all, kind of, but I'm actually enjoying it. It's VERY dense but fun to understand the lore behind one of my favorite everything of all time ha ha. I really enjoy writing and just creating worlds in general. What's happenin' everyone?! So nothing too much going on, just working on another round of self edits for my Viking Hunter, name still pending, of course. while waiting for my beta's to finish another one to get that published. Other than that, life is still going on and not much has changed aside from just trying to write as often as I can. It's fun. I really enjoy re-reading my stories because I'm never quite sure how goof they'll be and I feel like they're very subpar sometime, yet whenever I re-read them, I'm always shocked by how good of a story that are. What's happenin' everyone! So, getting some more BETA readers for my next big book push, hopefully I can have it done by the date. Honestly though, I don't know, it's august and my goal is the end of October. I just put it off a bit too long. I've entered into a fun little competition called writing battle and it'll be my second time entering. I made it halfway through the competition so I'm hopeful to make a bit farther this time. What's happenin' everyone? So, today I'm married 7 years! It's awesome. To think so many years ago, my life was in complete chaos as I'd just gone through a rough divorce and then 18 months later, I meet an amazing woman with an amazing family that has become my best friend. Now we've got four kids and are thriving. Talk about change! I just wanted to say this week, I discovered two other self-published authors, one of the authors had actually seen my book somewhere ha ha! I met another person who had also seen my book somewhere as well :) I love that! Life is good. God is good. I was also in another amazing podcast with Hunter and the host, JR Handly, so keep a look out for that. It was a fun discussion about what is YA and some of the tropes in them, as well as some other goofy, all around fun stuff. Thank you all for your support, couldn't do it without you amazing friends. What's happenin' everyone? I hope everyone had a great fourth of July! It's amazing to see the wonderful blessings we still have even with everything going on in this country, It'll never be as bad as it was. I know it's breaking habit to post on a monday, but I just felt like I should. Things are overall very good, I'm a little unsure about where to go with my writing, I've started on another book, but I also feel I should start publishing something again, it's been a while and halloween is approaching. so my supernatural book should be next, but I'm just making some things clearer through some beta's first.
