Hey everyone, what's happenin'? So, I've been very busy with my next book to publish. It's always so crazy, yet fun because there's always more content, words and sometimes even chapters than you originally started out with. But it's also sooooo much better reading. Also, I've just been busy being a family man. However, my wife has a youtube channel now! So, check it out. It's small, with only a few videos on there. But, if she's got followers and requests, who knows what she'll do! Her name is @missbehave95 Also, I'm hoping to have a real artist create my cover for this next book, so we'll see how that goes. Anyway, just trying to keep on adulting in this crazy world ha ha. Thanks for all your support! Forrest Jones

what's happenin'?
What's happenin' everyone?! Sorry I missed last week's blog. I've good news! I'm getting another book ready to be published! I'm excited for it, it's one of my favorites in every way. Also, I've been reading the Silmarillion and finding that not only can I understand it all, kind of, but I'm actually enjoying it. It's VERY dense but fun to understand the lore behind one of my favorite everything of all time ha ha. I really enjoy writing and just creating worlds in general. It's very fun and cool to see what I can do. Thank you all for reading. Forrest Jones
What's happenin' everyone! So, just working away on some of my novels and I gotta say it's fun. The only downside is that now I can see bad writing vs good writing in almost everything ha ha. So sometimes I can't enjoy so many things now that I normally could. I must confess I feel as if I'm going through a mid-life crisis right now ha ha. It's like everything I wouldn't dare to do in my twenties is hitting me hard in my thirties. All of the things I was afraid to do I'm trying. It's been frustrating, because of all the mistakes I've made, especially with finances, but also fun because I've begun to embrace a very critical part of me that was so suppressed. All in all life keeps moving on, working on my attitude mostly and just focusing on the good in my life. Thanks for reading, Forrest Jones PS anyone who liked the cloak I posted about, I included the website info here too.

What's happenin' everyone?! So nothing too much going on, just working on another round of self edits for my Viking Hunter, name still pending, of course. while waiting for my beta's to finish another one to get that published. Other than that, life is still going on and not much has changed aside from just trying to write as often as I can. It's fun. I really enjoy re-reading my stories because I'm never quite sure how goof they'll be and I feel like they're very subpar sometime, yet whenever I re-read them, I'm always shocked by how good of a story that are. Thanks for reading. Forrest Jones.

What's happenin' everyone! So, getting some more BETA readers for my next big book push, hopefully I can have it done by the date. Honestly though, I don't know, it's august and my goal is the end of October. I just put it off a bit too long. I've entered into a fun little competition called writing battle and it'll be my second time entering. I made it halfway through the competition so I'm hopeful to make a bit farther this time. Writing's fun and I've seen a surge of people that I know who are trying to be book narrators, so that's interesting. Anyway things are good, thanks for the read. Forrest Jones

What's happenin' everyone? So, today I'm married 7 years! It's awesome. To think so many years ago, my life was in complete chaos as I'd just gone through a rough divorce and then 18 months later, I meet an amazing woman with an amazing family that has become my best friend. Now we've got four kids and are thriving. Talk about change! I just wanted to say this week, I discovered two other self-published authors, one of the authors had actually seen my book somewhere ha ha! I met another person who had also seen my book somewhere as well :) I love that! Life is good. God is good. I was also in another amazing podcast with Hunter and the host, JR Handly, so keep a look out for that. It was a fun discussion about what is YA and some of the tropes in them, as well as some other goofy, all around fun stuff. Thank you all for your support, couldn't do it without you amazing friends. What's happenin'?
What's happenin' everyone? I hope everyone had a great fourth of July! It's amazing to see the wonderful blessings we still have even with everything going on in this country, It'll never be as bad as it was. I know it's breaking habit to post on a monday, but I just felt like I should. Things are overall very good, I'm a little unsure about where to go with my writing, I've started on another book, but I also feel I should start publishing something again, it's been a while and halloween is approaching. so my supernatural book should be next, but I'm just making some things clearer through some beta's first. Anyway, thanks for following. Forrest Jones
What's happenin'?!
What's happenin'? So, I finished my fifth written book last night! It's crazy to think about. Five books started with one two years ago. It's always so interesting to finish a book for me. You spend so long writing something, pouring ideas, creating this world and characters which comes to life before your eyes and then... it's over. At least for a time, it's so weird. It's fun now as well, because I can look at past drafts and begin again on them. The first draft is always interesting because I just need to write it, everything else can come after that. Even though its book one of this new six book series, I can actually see it in my head already falling into place or setting up things for the next five books! It's amazing. I got a new beta reader which is cool, because beta reader input is so valuable and it's hard to find one for free that are good. She read my most favorite book to write and she first to read it :) Anyway, trying to figure out what's next on my list of books to work on. Forrest Jones
What's happenin'?
What's happenin' everyone?! Today I'm posting a bit early because I wanted to make sure to remember this one. Today is Mother's Day! So I thought I'd make a post about some mother's who have impacted me.
First and foremost, I'll speak of my wife, the most amazing mom on the planet! I've learned way more than I can even say from my better 3/4. Loving unconditionally is easy to do. I'm the adult. Her treats are *her * treats. I'm the luckiest man alive. She's happiest when doing good things. I need to be willing to play more card/board games. I need to share my talents. It's normal for adult kids to tell their parents "I love you". Most importantly, she gave me courage to embrace my nerd side, the side that I'd almost killed, filling the hole I didn't even know was there. She loves me 100% for me presently and in the future. She's a safe place to just be me and she is direct and blunt just how I like it. She's courageous and cool.
Second I'll talk about my mom. I developed a love for disco music from watching my mom dance along to with the music blasting. I was brought into the one true church because of my mom. I served a mission because of my mom's stories of her own. I learned the wisdom in not judging others because we may go through the same thing later. I saw how upset she'd get during movies about the civil rights movement during the 60's and 70's and learned how to treat others no matter their skin color. Be open minded to all truth, not just the ones prescribed through a church. The body is way more connected than we think and God can teach us things personally based on what we seek. We can reason with God in everything. There is a huge list of even more things, but I thought I'd keep it simple. Even though our relationship has changed since I've had my own family, I just want her to know that I was inspired to write this.
Third of course, is my mother-in-law. She's brought up a culture where sharing off of each other's plates is the rule. Her generosity is amazing. She loves fiercely and freely. Snuggling is normal and okay past five years old. Love the gospel and you can definitely still hold hands thirty years into a marriage.
Happy Mother's Day to all the mum's out there. Without you lot, none of us would be here. Thanks fore reading, Forrest Jones
What's happenin'?!
What's happenin'!? So, these past few weeks have been a bit fun. I've been reading a new book by Anthony Ryan called Blood Song. It's VERY good. A bit more language than I'd like, but its smooth transitioning from past to present and the back story is incredible. I've also picked up a few more books to continue my education. :) I'm excited for this next book I'm writing. It's my longest one yet! It's been fun to see how long I can make it while also keeping enough pace to allow the story to take shape. Again my favorite part of writing is how everything unfolds! So many things happen that you don't or can't anticipate. It's amazing! I've really been working on being more present at home and in general and being on my phone less. It's more difficult than I thought, but also things are flowing better and I'm a much better dad too :). It's been interesting to see my fan base grow too! I'm amazed at how many people I've referenced my book too and who were interested in it. It's cool. I don;t know if they'll buy it, but at least it's getting out there. That's it for now. Thanks for reading my stories. Please remember to leave reviews and GoodReads and amazon :) It helps a lot.
