what's happenin' week 6!

What's happenin' everyone! Its already week 6 for my posts and book two is waaaayyyy harder than I thought it would be. I think I want to make this post for BETA readers! I just want to point out that all those BETA readers have sooo much value for us new authors! Especially those that do it for free. You're input is so invaluable and needed for us authors. Seriously, from the work I did on book one to book two, i had three times as many people reading and adding input! Don't ever doubt it! I know that its hard to do it for free, but for those that are just starting out, we really need the service because editors are expensive and you all can actually be like an editor. A group of consistent beta readers for an authors can be the difference between 6000$ with edits and 2000$. So, I've been working with my editor A LOT and it's awesome because soo much good is happening, but I'm wondering how much could've been resolved with a good group of like ten betas. So authors, be thankful for your readers, and readers, remember how important your feedback is for authors.
That's all :)

What's happenin' week 5!

Hey all! This weeks blog is just an update. Book two is with my editor! I'm so excited about it and it's keeping me very busy. Even though it's very rigorous, I always love seeing the edits because it gives me some perspective into what the readers are going to think. I'm still trying to think of some covers for the book and I think I'll give you the chance to help me when I have some options. It's so weird because I never really thought I'd be going down this road, yet here I am; an author. I actually got my first international fan and my first five star rating as well! It's crazy how supportive people are for fantasy books, its almost like everyone I run into wants to read it :) I'm very blessed. One of the coolest things about the writing process for me is that the stories I write aren't mine, they're Gods. I know that sounds strange, but if you think about it, all the coolest, most insane stories seem to spark and inspire imagination and story telling, because the greatest story ever created was the one we're living in now. Anyway, love you all. Forrest Jones

what's happenin' week 4

Hello all! this week I wanted to give a shout out to Brian A. Mendonca, the author of Wedding of the Torn Rose! I've read the first two chapters and it's pretty cool so far. Great bio, awesome cover! Here's the link to check out his book.

So, for me, book two is with my wonderful editor as we speak!!! and I'm continuing on book three :) I was just thinking about how the Lost Prince started out as a whim while listening to the Lord of the Rings soundtrack. I wrote it to the soundtrack and let the music literally drive the story. Ten years later, I found about four notebooks and realized not only that I had a pretty decent story, but also that it was 95% done! I've changed a lot, but kept some things stayed the same. Then, of course, once I embraced my imagination and let it flow, I had many other idea come to me and now it's been another way to make some money. For me, the biggest set back was my confidence. It's been awesome to see how many people enjoy my story and it really motivates me to keep going! That's all. Remember to leave a review for credibility :) Love all you wonderful readers who support me, (Carrie Wimmer, Zoetta Stone, Kelly Johnson) to name a few .
